The Rebels may have faced their stiffest test to date as No. 9 in the state in Morris Catholic, and emerged with a a 71-67 victory in the Non-Public B semifinals at Rutgers on Sunday. Michelle Sidor scored 15 points in the second quarter and 10 straight when the game was tied at 26 to create separation, and finished with 33 for the game. Beat Oak Knoll in the quarterfinals, 72-33, as Sidor scored 25 points. The Rebels will will meet Queen of Peace for the Non Public North B Title on Wednesday at Kennedy HS. |

QUEEN OF PEACE (22-1) --
The Griffins breezed through their three state playoff games by an average score of 72-30 and will meet Saddle River Day on Wednesday Non-Public North B title. To get there they beat St. Dominic Academy, 82-19, as Raven Farley-Clark scored 22 points, Marist, 72-44, and Eastern Chtistian, 63-27. |

NORTHERN VALLEY/OLD TAPPAN (23-4) -- Injuries have not turned into excuses as the Golden Knights held their first three state opponents to a 26 points per game average. Their much anticipated sectional semifinal game with Teaneckturned into a convincing 59-42 win, which sets up a rematch for the North 1 Group 3 Sectional title with Ramapo. Kailyn Systma was the difference against Teaneck as she scored 18 points and hit two straight 3’s to start the fourth. Also beat Montville for the second year in a row, this year 42-27 as again Sytsma had14 points. Their first state tourney game was a 61-10 win over Garfield. |

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (18-6) -- Season Complete. In regards to their last win of the season last week, the team they beat, Staten Island Academy, was ranked No. 18 in the Tri- State, so a great win to finish the year. |

IMMACULATE HEART ACADEMY (18-6) --
The Blue Eagles will meet Paramus Catholic at home on Monday afternoon in the Non-Public A semifinals after easily knocking off Mount St. Dominic, 54-22, as Megan Swords scored 16 points. Two more wins and, in all likelihood, would face St. John Vianney for the Non-Public A title for the third straight year. |

EASTSIDE (20-10) --
Well, here we go again. The Ghosts will meet their friends from across town for the fourth time, this time for the North 1, Group 4 title on Tuesday.. The Ghosts have captured the last two meetings, most recently in the Passaic County final, while Kennedy won the first meeting. The Ghosts punched their ticket with an easy win over Hackensack,
62-35, and they beat West Orange, 69-37, as Natalie Cortes and Precious Featherstone each scored 14 points. Their opening state game was another mismatch, a 74-43 beating of Morris Knolls as Blessing Ejiofor had 12 points. |

RAMAPO (21-7) -- The Raiders appear to be back on track as they have scored 60-plus points in all three state games, the latest a 61-48 victory at Pascack Valleythat earned them a rematch with the top-seeded Old Tappan. The Raiders can thank Karlie Brogan as she hit a half court heave as time expired to shock rival Northern Highlands, 64-61, after trailing much of the game. Brogan finished with 29 points and had 20 points in the win over PV where Emily Calabrese added 16 points. Their opening state game was a 64-20 win over Bergenfield |

TEANECK (17-8) --
The Highwaywomen lost at Old Tappan on Friday afternoon, 59-42, in the North 1, Group 3 state sectional semifinals after splitting the regular season series with the Knights. They dug themselves a hole, trailing 20-12 after the first quarter, but battled to get back within three heading to the fourth quarter. Kailyn Sytsma buried Teaneck;s hopes with two 3s to open the final period. They opened the states with a 74-41 win over Sparta and then beat River Dell, 59-42, as Milan Johnson scored 17 points. |

PASCACK VALLEY (22-7) --
The Indians had their terrific season come to an end on their home court Friday afternoon as they fell to Ramapo, 61-48, in the North 1, Group 3 semifinals The Indians who were dominant on their home court all season (the only other team to beat them was Old Tappan) could not solve the Raiders' zone defense despite freshman Briana Smith hitting for 19 points. They opened the states with a 74-51 win over Dwight Morrow as Smith scored 27 points and followed that up with another great game as they beat West Milford 57-28. |

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS (16-11) --
The Highlanders had their season come to an end in stunning fashion on Wednesday night as they watched Ramapo’s Karlie Brogan throw in a desperation 28-foot shot at the buzzer to lose 64-61. This was a game in which the Highlanders led most of the way, holding a third quarter lead of 9 points and leading by 7 in the fourth quarter. Emily Bonifacic had a terrific game as she finished her career with 21 points. They opened the states with a 62-42 win over Wayne Valley as junior Sarah Minchin had 20 points |

MAHWAH (21-6) --
The Thunderbirds saw their 14-game win streak come to an end in Jefferson on Thursday night in a heartbreaking 44-43 loss. They trailed 15-5 after the first quarter to the No. 2 seed, but cut the halftime deficit to only 1 point. Game was tight throughout mainly due to Sam Haubner’s 19 points and they had a chance to win on a final possession. Their opening state game was a tough 58-52 win over Kittattiny at home as Haubner led with 17 points. |

KENNEDY (20-9) --
The Knights will get their chance for revenge on Eastside on Tuesday night at home as they punched their ticket to the sectional final with a tough 45-41 win over Montclair after trailing 19-17 at the break. Oleysha Braxton came up big, scoring 19 points in the win. The Knights opened the states with two convincing wins, the first over Mount Olive,
78-54, as Tajae Stevenson led the team with 29 points and that was followed by a 61-43 win over North Bergen. |

The Bees had a great year in capturing a Hudson County title, but their season came to crashing halt when they were stunned in overtime by 16th-seeded Columbia, 60-51, in the opening round of the North 1, Group 4 playoffs |

The Lions had an excellent season, unfortunately found themselves in one of the toughest state brackets in Central Group 2. They ran into Manasquan, a Top 5 team in the state, and lost 63-44 in the semifinals. They opened with a 62-36 beating of Monmouth as Destiny Shuler had 18 points. The Lions then won their next state game against Point Pleasant Boro by a score of 50-26 as Zhan’e Williams had 16 points. |

The Cardinals were never able to get untracked in their sectional semifinal game on Saturday against second-seeded Jefferson as they lost 40-26. Beat Dumont, 39-20, in the opening round as Sam McClutchey scored 14 points and, in their second state game at Ramsey, Jade Hinds-Clarke had 20 points in a 55-33 win |

They will travel to New Milford on Monday night. Thalia Ghalam scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the way. In the quarterfinal game they beat Butler,
47-31, as Ghalam had 17 points and in the opening round game they beat North Warren,
55-46, as Chloe Kasbarian had 18 points. |

RIDGEFIELD PARK (18-10) --The Scarlets have claimed a spot in the North 2, Group2 sectional title game on Tuesday night where they will meet a talented Newark Tech squad. Beat third seeded Hackettstown, 54-41, on Saturday afternoon as Sam Rinaldi scored 23 points. In the quarterfinals they easily beat Lodi, 63-25, as Rinaldi led the way with 27 points. In the opening round they beat Lyndhurst 47-29. |
