SADDLE RIVER DAY (9-0) --
The Rebels have stamped themselves as the team to beat in Bergen County as they knocked off undefeated Baldwin (LI) 65-55 in overtime. Rallying from 9 down after three quarters, outscored Baldwin 32-13, in the fourth led by freshman sensation Michele Sidor, who scored 22 of her 34 points from the fourth quarter on. She finished with 14 assists and 10 steals as well. My math tells me 34 points plus 14 assists equals a hand in 62 of the 65 points. The Rebels also had wins over Kennedy, 52-51, where Sidor hit the go ahead 3 with 2 minutes left, and Lawrenceville, 62-49. |
