SADDLE RIVER DAY (24-1) --
The Rebels continue to roll as they knocked off two good teams this past weekend starting with Teaneck on the road, 53-39, as Michelle Sidor led the way with 23 points. Followed that up with an 82-52 drubbing of Northern Highlands on Saturday but that win came with a heavy price as Kayla Oge suffered a season-ending knee injury. They will most likely play Morris Catholic on March 5 and a potential meeting with Queen of Peace on March 8 is on the horizon. |

QUEEN OF PEACE (20-1) --
The Golden Griffins opened the season as the top ranked team and they will get their opportunity to finish in that spot as they most likely will reach the Non-Public North B title game on March 8 and see either Saddle River Day or Morris Catholic. The one obstacle for the Griffins will be Newark Academy, led by All-Stater Jocelyn Willoughby, who is going to Virginia. They beat New Milford, 88-30, as Asonah Alexander had 20 points and beat Secaucus, 92-41, as Dominique Sales had 23 points. |

NORTHERN VALLEY/OLD TAPPAN (20-4) -- The Knights are ready to defend their North 1, Group 3 state sectional title as they beat Demarest, 37-34, and claimed their second straight league title. They then slipped past Holy Angels, 42-40, as Alexandra George had 12 points. They open with Garfield on Monday and could see Teaneck on Friday in the sectional semifinals |

IMMACULATE HEART ACADEMY (17-6) --
The Blue Eagles beat Paramus, 54-20, and then Wayne Hills, 52-28, as Jordan Wilmoth, who has carried her team the entire season, scored 37 in the two games. They are the heavy favorites to win Non-Public North A and face the No. 1 team in the state, St. John Vianney, for the third straight season having split the title the prior two seasons |

EASTSIDE (17-10) --
The Ghosts captured their third straight Passaic County title by beating top seeded Kennedy, 57-48, behind Precious Featherson’s 18 points. This is the second time in the last 10 days they have beaten the Knights. Natalie Cortes, a transfer from Lincoln, chipped in with 15 points including a big 3 in the third quarter. They open up the state tournament with Morris Knolls on Tuesday. |

In their only game the Highwaywoemn lost on Friday night to Saddle River Day, 53-39. They will play Sparta on Monday as the No. 5 seed in North 1, Group 3 and, with a win, could travel to River Dell on Wednesday before a possible a showdown with Old Tappan on Friday |

PASCACK VALLEY (20-6) --
The Indians are poised to make a deep run in the states as they have continued to play very solid basketball. Started last week with a good win over Montclair, 48-40, as Kelly Smith had 13 points. They followed that up with wins over West Milford, 46-26, and Fair Lawn, 60-51, as Smith again led the team with 14 points. They open the states with Dwight Morrow on Monday and will get Wayne Hills/West Milford winner on Wednesday with a win. |

Make it 13 straight for the Thunderbirds as they dispatched Cliffside Park, 82-44, behind Casey Doran’s 35 points and then beat Wayne Valley, 44-31. They will open the states on Tuesday as the No. 7 seed in North 1, Group 2 and play Kittattiny. |

BAYONNE (20-2) --
The Bees claimed their first Hudson County title since 2011 as they used their tremendous defense again in holding Lincoln star Zhane Williams to 7 points in a 34-27 win. Madison McGlone and Kailey Gallagher each turned in great games as they each had 9 points in the win on Saturday night at St. Peters University. They open the states on Tuesday at home vs. Columbia as the No. 1 seed in North 2, Group 4. |

RAMAPO (18-7) -- The Raiders beat Westwood on Thursday night, 57-42, as Emily Calabrese led the way with 17 points, however they were stunned by Hackensack on Tuesday in losing, 42-40, as Gena Kaminiski had a career high 22 for the Comets. The Raiders will open the state tournament against Bergenfield on Monday |

KENNEDY (17-9) --
The Knights lost a tough 57-48 County final to their bitter cross town rival Eastside. This was their second loss to the Ghosts in the last 10 days and they have now lost three of their last four as they also lost to Sayreville, 68-62. Kennedy could see Eastside again. but not until the sectional final if both make it that far in North 1, Group 4. |

After winning three straight Hudson County titles the Lions have now lost two straight finals, this season losing to Bayonne 34-27 in a defensive struggle. They beat Marist, 47-37, in the semis as Zhane Williams finished with 17 points. |

The Norsewomen have won two straight after having lost three of four and hope to have righted the ship in time to make a run at the North 1, Group 2 title. They started last week by blowing a 29-22 fourth quarter lead to Old Tappan in losing 37-34, but rebounded with wins over Pequannock, 50-37, and then Indian Hills, 61-53, as Veronica Corcoran had 14 points. Victoria Corcoran scored her 1,000th career point in the loss to Old Tappan. |

The Angels return to the ranking after four weeks away, because of a great week starting with a win over Ridgewood, 44-40, where Elena Pulanco scored 17. Followed that up with a solid game against Old Tappan, losing 42-40. They open the states on March 4 at home vs. Kent Place in Non-Public North A and a win gets them Pope John in the semifinals |
