ST. ANTHONY (26-0) --
The Friars completed their regular season undefeated as they beat three opponents without much resistance. Last week began with a 59-11 win over Prestige Prep, then a 78-30 thumping of Bishop Eustace as Jagen Mosely had 16 points and finally Marlboro, 81-40, as Mosely had 20 points. The Friars probably will not face a tough state tournament test until they meet the South B champion, which could be the Patrick School, Roselle Catholic or Gil St Bernard. |

HUDSON CATHOLIC (21-3) -- The Hawks survived what would have been the biggest upset in Hudson County Tournament history as they beat Snyder, 55-53, in the semifinals with a basket from Marion Williams at the buzzer. The Hawks trailed by 5 with three minutes left and by 2 with 90 seconds left, until Williams stole the ball and tied it on a layup. In the final, they cruised to their fifth straight Hudson County title by beating St. Peter’s Prep, 74-55, as Jahvon Quinerly, Luther Muhammed and Williams combined for 66 points. They will get St. Joseph’s at home in the Non-Public A state sectional quarterfinals. |

ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (18-8) -- The Green Knights played a flawless game from start to finish in claiming their first Jambo title in 11 years with a 69-54 win over Don Bosco. Nate Garvey and Chauncey Hawkins each scored 20 points and answered any runs the Ironmen threw at them. The Knights only had five turnovers in the game. Bryan Griffin also came up huge with 10 rebounds. Earlier in the week they beat Indian Hills 69-42. The Knights will travel to Hudson Catholic for a quarterfinal showdown in Non-Public North A. |

DON BOSCO PREP (24-3) --
The Ironmen could not make it three straight wins over SJR this season as they dropped the county final, 69-54. They picked up a win over Paramus, 59-34, and look toward the states now as they get the winner of St. Peter’s Prep and Oratory in Non-Public North A. |

The Green Raiders played one game and that was against Montclair Immaculate and they won, 58-51, without Matt Latka. The top-seed in North 1, Group 3, they open with Tenafly on Monday night. |

BERGEN CATHOLIC (20-6) --
The Crusaders put together two solid wins as they prepare for the states. They beat Ridgewood, 60-35, as Taj Benning had 17 points and followed that up with an easy 59-36 win over Marist as David Logan led with 16. They will most likely get Paramus Catholic later in the week as the No. 3 seed in North 1, Group 3. |

PASCACK HILLS (22-2) --
The Cowboys have had an incredible season and it continued on Tuesday night as they exacted revenge on Ramsey from an earlier 1-point overtime loss. They hammered the Rams 74-49, opening a 39-22 halftime advantage as Junior Nick Guillemain scored 20 points. They then took care of West Milford, 66-48, as Guillemain again led with 20 points. They start the states Tuesday vs Dumont as the No. 2 seed in North 1, Group 2. |

NV/OLD TAPPAN (15-7) --
The Golden Knights move up five spots as they picked up a 39-38 win over rival Demarest, rallying behind Justin Minaya’s 21 points. The Knights then completely shut down Eastside in the fourth quarter, allowing just one point in outscoring them 13-1 down the stretch to win 44-41. They open with West Essex on Monday night in North 1, Group 3 as the No. 6 seed and could see Wayne Valley on Wednesday with a win. |

SNYDER (16-8) --
The Tigers rise five spots after their near 'Upset of the Year' in falling to the eighth ranked team in the state, Hudson Catholic, 55-53, in the Hudson County semifinals. They trailed 38-29 in the third quarter but rallied to take a 50-45 lead with three minutes remaining behind the outstanding performance by Ronald Washington, who had 20 points. Turnovers late in the game cost them. They did bounce back to beat Columbia, 59-45. A game to watch will be Wednesday night when they might travel to Chatham, the No. 1 seed in North 2 Group 3, if they can win on Monday against Cranford |

EASTSIDE (18-5) --
Al-Jumo Johnson’s 3-pointer with 32 seconds left rallied the Ghosts past Wayne Valley, 49-47, and to their third straight Passaic County title and their fourth in the last five years. The Ghosts and Kennedy each have 11 titles now. Nhazir Smith led with 19 points. Prior to this game they suffered a disappointing loss to Old Tappan, 44-41, and now ready for the states as they open with Passaic and could play Hackensack on Wednesday |

WAYNE VALLEY (20-4) -- The Indians were 30 seconds away from a county title but surrendered a 3-pointer to fall 49-47 in their home gym. They led 21-17 at halftime and held a 31-30 lead after three quarters. Earlier in the week they beat Clifton, 47-34. The Indians open with Montville as the No. 3 seed in North 1, Group 3 and could see Old Tappan on Wednesday. |

Suffered a disappointing 58-51 loss to Ridgewood before bouncing back to beat Dwight Morrow, 93-74, behind Basil Saliba and Atiba Taylor’s 21 points apiece. The Comets will open with Ridgewood on Monday night at home as the No. 4 seed in North 1, Group 4. Eastside could be visiting on Wednesday night. |

The Marauders returned to the Hudson County final, but did not get the performance they were looking for in a 74-55 loss to Hudson Catholic. In the semifinals on Tuesday night they beat Union City, 57-48, using a 19-6 first quarter to propel them to the win. Jorge Portorreal led with 16 points. They open with Oratory in the opening round of Non-Public North A. |

The Gaels enter the Top 20 as they picked up three impressive wins and have now won 16 of their last 17 since their loss to Teaneck back on Jan 17. Their only loss in that time was to Ramsey in the Jambo. This past week they beat Paterson Charter,
67-42, Becton, 74-56, and Passaic Valley, 53-51, as Tim Klarmann hit two free throws with two seconds remaining for the win. They are the No. 2 seed in Non Public North B and should see Montclair Immaculate in the quarterfinals. |

UNION CITY (20-5) --The Soaring Eagles dropped a semifinal Hudson County game on Tuesday night to St. Peter’s Prep, 57-48, as they dug themselves a 13-point hole to start the game and could not recover. They will turn their attention to the states where they are the No. 1 seed in North 1, Group 4 and open with Belleville. |

The Red Raiders move into the Top 20 as they have won 11 of their last 17. Three of the losses are to Don Bosco, by one point to Ramsey and a five-point loss to Pascack Hills. Last week they beat DePaul, 67-53, and then beat Mahwah, 60-53, as Gabriel Valerio scored 20 points. The lone loss last week was to Lincoln in triple overtime, 69-66. Open with Nutley on Monday night in North 2, Group 3. |
