1. ST. ANTHONY (10-0) --  The Friars, ranked No. 1 in the Tri State area, took on the The Patrick School, the No. 2 ranked team, and the Friars held on for a 60-56 win in what could be a preview of the Non-Public B state final. Asante Gist hit 5 of 7 from 3 and finished with 23 points to help the Friars remain unbeaten. They also beat Manchester, 87-30, as Jagen Mosely had 18 points. They travel to Massachusetts on Monday to take on Bentonville (AK).

2. HUDSON CATHOLIC (6-3) -- Picked up wins over Snyder, 82-54 as Marion Williams and Luther Muhammed each had 22 points, and Union City, 76-46, behind a 28-2 first quarter. Jahvon Quinerly and Marion Williams had 19 points apiece.

3. RAMAPO (11-1) --  The Green Raiders took down two Non-Public giants this past week, winning at St. Joseph’s on Tuesday night, 69-63, in overtime as Matt Latka pumped in 26 points.  Then, on Sunday night, the Raiders knocked off previously unbeaten Don Bosco,
66-62,
in the Public vs Private Showcase in Englewood. Latka again took over the game and finished with 27 points. The Raiders look to be a lock for the No. 1 Jambo seed. On Thursday they beat Paramus 57-30. Tuesday against Old Tappan at home.

LAST WEEK'S RANKING: No. 5

4. DON BOSCO PREP (11-1) -- The Ironmen had their 11-game win streak snapped by Ramapo, 66-62, on Sunday night. Brandon Anderson had 26 but it was not enough as the Ironmen had not given up more than 55 points any previous game this season. The Ironmen beat Burke Catholic (NY), 68-55, and Teaneck, 58-47, behind Omar Mostafa's 16 points earlier in the week. At Bergen Catholic Tuesday.

LAST WEEK'S RANKING: No. 3

5. EASTSIDE (7-2) -- The Ghosts cruised past Clifton, 62-46, behind Terra Gatling’s 15 points and had no problem with West Milford, winning 73-52, after leading 42-18 at half. Nhazir Smith scored 18 points. Newark East Side visits on Monday.

6. ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (7-4) -- The Green Knights had an up and down week starting with a solid win over Bergen Catholic, 73-63, their fourth in the last five meetings with the Crusaders. Both Nate Garvey and Chauncey Hawkins went for 25 points. The Green Knights were then upset by red hot Ramapo in overtime, 69-63, and needed to rally from 8 down in the fourth just to force the extra session. On Saturday the Knights beat American History, 79-73, in overtime, rallying from a halftime deficit of 39-27 as Garvey had 29 points.

7. BERGEN CATHOLIC (10-2) -- The Crusaders had their eight-game winning streak snapped by St. Joseph Regional on Tuesday night, losing 73-63. They rebounded by beating Clifton, 61-31, as Taj Benning and Gabriel Stefanini each had 17 points. The Crusaders were then hammered by Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday night in Jersey City, 68-45, but bounced back with a 78-67 win over University of Newark on Sunday. Don Bosco Prep visits on Tuesday night.

8. TEANECK (9-2) -- The Highwaymen started last week with a win over Pascack Valley, 73-58. They trailed by 10 at the half before dominating to win going away as Nick Whitaker had a season-high 22 points. Struggled to score against Don Bosco prep in a 58-47 loss. On Sunday they beat St. Mary, 60-45, as Jawaun Daniels scored a game-high 18 points at the Public vs. Private Showcase in Englewood.  Passaic Tech on Monday.

9. HACKENSACK (8-4) -- The Comets knocked off Ridgewood, 71-61, as MJ Richardson continued to light up the scoreboard with 24.  On Saturday night they beat Upper Room Christian (NY), 66-57, as the Comets used a 24-4 fourth quarter to erase an 11-point deficit. Pascack Valley, Passaic Tech and Kennedy this week.

LAST WEEK'S RANKING: No. 9

10. WAYNE HILLS (8-1) --  The Patriots continue their amazing turnaround from last year’s sub-.500 season as they ended their rival Wayne Valley's seven-game unbeaten streak. Hills won at Valley, 54-49 as Dorian Hodge 21 points. That was followed with a 59-46 win over Morris Knolls. Big matchup with Eastside on Tuesday.

11. KENNEDY (6-3) -- In their lone game of the week the Knights beat Passaic, 67-60, as Jordan Rodriguez had 17 points. Newark Tech on Monday

12. NV/OLD TAPPAN (8-2) -- The Golden Knights easily breezed past their three opponents last week. Beat rival Demarest, 51-33, as Kevin Eifert had 19 points, Ridgewood (61-48) as Justin Minaya had 19 and finally Cresskill on Saturday, 59-34, as Joseph D’Amico had 21 points behind his 6 triples. Travel to Franklin Lakes to take on Ramapo on Tuesday night.

13. WAYNE VALLEY (8-1) -- Head coach Joe Leicht collected his 500th career win on Saturday as the Indians downed Garfield, 67-37, behind Nick Giuliano’s 20 points. The Indians lost the battle of Wayne to Wayne Hills on their home court, 54-49, on Tuesday night. Don Bosco awaits on Thursday

14. PASSAIC TECH (5-3) -- In their lone game last week the Bulldogs got a monster performance from Eric Alford-Johnson as he poured in 34 points in their 67-60 win over Bergen Tech. Big week ahead as they get Teaneck Monday in Paterson and at Bergen Catholic on Tuesday.

15. UNION CITY (9-2) -- The Soaring Eagles had a big win over St. Peter’s Prep, 61-53, as Abraham Feliz had 16 points. They ran into a very good Hudson Catholic team and lost 76-46 but followed that up with a 61-57 win over Randolph on Saturday.

16. PARAMUS CATHOLIC (7-4) -- The Paladins picked up two wins, knocking off DePaul, 68-46, as EJ Anosike scored 21 points and then beat Demarest, 58-50. In the Public vs Private Showcase the Paladins knocked off Dwight Morrow on its home court, 58-44. Tuesday against Passaic Valley.

17. PASCACK VALLEY (7-2) --The Indians started the week with a great first half against Teaneck where they were up 10 but lost 73-58. Beat Indian Hills 66-56 as Alex Lin had 20 points.

18. RAMSEY (11-1) -- The Rams pulled off a huge league win on Tuesday as they beat Pascack Hills, 45-44, in overtime to gain a leg in the league title race. Joseph Carroll came up big as he hit for 18 points. They followed that up with wins over Ridgefield Park, 79-49, behind Michael Cirilli’s 16 points and beat Mountain Lakes, 64-49, as Carroll erupted for 29 points.

19. PASSAIC VALLEY (6-3) -- Having won four of their last five games with the lone loss coming to Wayne Valley, 59-56, the Hornets move into the Top 20. On Thursday they beat Passaic, 55-52, as Jihad Wright had 16 points. Big matchup with Paramus Catholic on Tuesday and Ramsey on Thursday.

20. ST. PETER'S PREP (5-4) -- Lost to Union City, 61-53, but bounced back with a win against North Bergen, 76-58, as Shamar Waterman hit for 16 points. In a game against a Top 15 team in the state the Marauders fell to Mater Dei, 51-38, in a defensive struggle.
