The Friars drive to a TOC title continued last week as they beat some excellent teams starting with Blair Academy. They won 54-41 behind Juvaris Hayes, who had 12 points. The won by the same final score in beating maybe one of the top public schools in the state in Newark East Side as RJ Cole finished with 15 points. Finally, the Friars defense put on a defensive clinic by keeping Camden from scoring a point for the first 12:08 of the game in building a 26-0 lead on their way to a 56-35 win. HUDSON CATHOLIC (14-3) --The Quinerly and Muhammed Show is something to see the dynamic duo led their team to three more convincing wins. Remember, they are not in the same state bracket as St. Anthony’s like they have been in the past, moving up to Non Public A. They beat All Hallows (NY) on Sunday, 92-59, as Jahvon Quinerly and Luther Muhammed each had 24 points. Earlier in the week they beat Memorial, 94-47, and Dickinson, 76-52, as those two continue to turn in great performances. Lincoln (NY) on Feb. 16. |

RAMAPO (18-1) --
The Green Raiders posted three wins last week, however struggled to score in all three, highlighted by their struggle to put away 16th-seeded Dwight-Englewood in the Bergen Jamboree in a 44-32 win. The Raiders had a 12-point lead trimmed to 3 in the fourth quarter before pulling away late. They will see Pascack Hills next weekend in the quarterfinals. Earlier in the week, beat Ridgewood, 46-34, and Indian Hills, 39-27. Hackensack on Thursday. |

DON BOSCO PREP (18-2) --
The Ironmen turned in a great week of basketball as they easily dispatched two of their biggest rivals, Bergen Catholic (61-44) and St. Joseph Regional (62-51)/ They were in control throughout against BC as Branden Anderson had 17 points. Omar Mostafa had 23 against SJR. Lastly, they beat Cliffside Park, 55-37, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Jamboree where they will meet Paramus Catholic |

ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (11-6) -- The Green Knights advanced to the quarterfinals of the Jambo by defeating pesky Pascack Valley, 77-64, and will see Bergen Catholic this weekend in the Final 8. Last Sunday they lost to a Top 20 team in the state in Mater Dei, 57-49, and followed that up with a 61-48 win over DePaul as Nate Garvey hit for 26 points. Thursday night they were beaten by Don Bosco Prep, 62-51 |

TEANECK (17-3) --
The Highwaymen needed to pull through in the fourth quarter as they were struggling to shake River Dell. It was not until the final couple minutes that they were to do so in a 65-50 final. Jawaun Daniels had 26 points and they will see one-loss Ramsey this weekend in the Jambo quarterfinals. Earlier in the week they beat Tenafly, 47-42, in a lackluster performance and Demarest, 67-51, as again Jawaun Daniels led with 21 points. Old Tappan on Tuesday. |

BERGEN CATHOLIC (15-4) --
The Crusaders easily beat North Arlington, 76-25, in the Bergen Jamboree setting up another meeting with their friends from Montvale this weekend in the quarterfinals. Earlier last week they were beaten by Don Bosco, 61-44, but battled back with a real good win over Paramus Catholic, 55-48, as Gabriel Stefanini had 19 points. They will travel to St. Anthony’s on Thursday. |

WAYNE VALLEY (14-2) -- The Indians picked up three wins this week starting with a close 57-55 win over West Milford as Nick Goodwin scored 30 points. That was followed up with a 69-38 thrashing of Lakeland as Nick Guiliano scored 22 points. Finally on Saturday, they knocked off Northern Highlands, 57-37. They look to be the 3 seed come the states later this month in North 1, Group 3 and will play Passaic Tech in the Passaic County quarterfinals. |

EASTSIDE (11-6) --
The Ghosts knocked off Kennedy in the battle of Paterson, 57-48, as Nhazir Smith went for 28 points and that was followed up with an easy 81-40 victory over Bergen Tech. They will visit St. Joseph on Tuesday and will meet Manchester on Saturday in the Passaic County quarterfinals. |

PARAMUS CATHOLIC (13-5) --
Had a big Bergen Jamboree win over Hackensack on Sunday afternoon winning 56-46 and will meet Don Bosco this weekend in the quarterfinals. During the week they dropped a 55-48 decision to Bergen Catholic. On their schedule this week is Don Bosco at home Tuesday and St. Joseph on the road Thursday. |

The Rams continue to remain unbeaten in 2016 and have now won 13 straight since their 65-51 loss to Washington Township in Florida. Beat St. Mary on Saturday, 44-36, to advance to the Jamboree quarterfinals this weekend against Teaneck. Joseph Carroll had 19 points in the win. Earlier in the week they beat Dumont, 79-41, led by Christian Tesoriero's 20 points and also beat River Dell, 51-35, behind Jack Gaffney's 17 points |

Evan Schumer saved the day for the Cowboys as he drained a 25-footer at the buzzer to preserve their ninth straight win, a 47-46 stunner over Old Tappan taht moves them to this weekend’s Jambo quarterfinal matchup with top-seeded Ramapo. Schumer finished with 21 points. Earlier in the week they beat Cliffside Park, 55-50, behind Nick Guillemain’s 25 points and then Mahwah, 72-57, as Guillemain had 24 points. |

The Knights trailed the whole game, however Justin Minaya hit a 12-foot jumper in the lane with 6 seconds left to give his team a two-point lead, its first time since the score was 2-0.
