The Friars have moved up to No 5 in the country according to USA Today as they beat up on Bentonville (AK), 72-50, in their lone game last week. RJ Cole was the star as he had 23 points in a game that St. Anthony led 55-30 at half. Big games with Blair on Feb. 3 and Newark East Side on Feb. 5. |

HUDSON CATHOLIC (8-3) -- Continue to be ranked No. 8 in New Jersey after breezing past two Hudson County opponents last week. The Hawks beat Hoboken, 80-37 and led 44-10 at the half. Jahvon Quinerly had 25 and Luther Muhammed had 23 points. Next was North Bergen, a 78-42 win that was 41-13 game at the half. Quinerly had 26 points. |

The Green Raiders, poised to be named the No. 1 seed in the Bergen Jamboree, trailed Old Tappan 17-13 at the half before winning 43-34, outscoring the Golden Knights 30-17 in the second half. |

Coming off the loss to Ramapo they then dropped a game to rival Bergen Catholic, 61-52. The Ironmen rebounded by beating a very good Wayne Valley team, 69-58, in a game that was tied after three quarters. Marcellus Earlington had 22 points in the win. Old Tappan on Tuesday. |

The Green Knights won their only game last week, beating Bergenfield, 60-45, behind Chauncey Hawkins' 22 points. Ridgewood on Tuesday and mater Dei, a Top 20 team in the state, on Jan. 31. |

EASTSIDE (7-4) --
The Ghosts lost to a top team in NJ in Newark East Side, 63-40, and then were stunned by Wayne Hills, 43-39, however they were missing Nhazir Smith, who was out for undisclosed reasons. Keeping them where they are for now as the situation plays out. The Ghosts were given the No. 22 seed in the Passaic County Tournament. Huge games coming up: Thursday against Wayne Valley and Sunday vs. Teaneck. Rival Kennedy on Feb. 2. |

Hard team to figure out. Beat Don Bosco, 61-52, and led 30-21 at half as Gabriel Stefanini finished with 19 points. They then turned around and lost to Passaic Tech at home, 87-74, but what was alarming was PCT scoring 40 points in the fourth quarter. Passaic and Passaic Valley this week. |

The Highwaymen are starting to get things going as they knocked off Passaic Tech, 66-51, behind Jawaun Daniels' 21 points. Followed that up with a 67-51 win over Northern Highlands behind Ja’quaye James' 26 points. Two huge games coming up: rival Hackensack on Thursday and Sunday vs Eastside. |

The Knights are starting to play really good basketball as they picked up three wins last week. Started with a 64-62 win over a talented Newark Tech team as Alphonso Gee had 23 points and Jaylen Colon had 21 points. They then dismantled DePaul, 74-36, and led 30-15 at half, Alphonso Gee finished with 20 points. Lastly, beat Shabazz,
92-62, behind Jordan Rodriguez’s 13 points. They are the No. 3 seed in the Passaic County Tournament. |

Started with a subpar performance against Teaneck in falling 66-51, but rebounded with an impressive 87-74 win over one of Bergen County's top teams in Bergen Catholic. Eric Alford-Johnson finished with 29 points and Yohanly Ortiz had 27. PCT used a 40-30 fourth quarter to get the win. The Bulldogs received the No. 5 seed in the Passaic County Tournament. Lakeland and Passaic Valley this week. |

Were given the No. 4 seed in the Passaic County Tournament setting up a potential semifinal game with rival Wayne Hills. Big game on Thursday vs Eastside. |
