IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (13-3) --
The Blue Wolves advanced to the Bergen County quarterfinals with a convincing 59-37 win over Teaneck and will Indian Hills. Bre Bellerand and Danni Deoul each had 16 points in the win as IC led 21-3 after the first quarter. To start the week they beat ArchBishop Molloy (NY), 57-50, opening a 31-19 lead at the break as Bellerand had 21 points. Tacked on a win vs Montclair, 61-37, behind Deoul’s 20 points. Last Sunday they lost to Rock Creek (MD), 49-43, and will play University on Wednesday. |

SADDLE RIVER DAY (12-5) --
The third-seeded Rebels advanced to the Bergen County Tournament quarterfinals by beating Ridgefield Park, 70-36, and will meet the 11th-seeded Ramapo Raiders. They led 32-20 at the half as Michelle Sidor scored 32 points. On Thursday night they lost on the road, 84-72, to Staten Island Academy. On Sunday they lost to Gloucester Catholic, 58-52, and will play Bishop Ahr on Tuesday night. |

QUEEN OF PEACE (10-4) --
The fourth-seeded Griffins advanced to the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Tournament by beating a stubborn New Milford team, 54-45, as Raven Farley-Clark had 18 points and 16 rebounds. Westwood is next up in the BCT. Last Tuesday they beat Bayonne, 48-34, and on Thursday they beat Shabazz 85-24 as Jamira Watkins erupted for 29 points and 25 rebounds. At Blair on Wednesday and West Orange on Thursday. |

PASCACK VALLEY (16-1) --
The second-seeded Indians were stunned in the Bergen County Tournament's Round of 16 on their home court on Saturday by 8-10 and 18th-seeded Old Tappan, a team it had beaten two days earlier, 48-15. That was PV's first loss of the season. They will look to regroup against Holy Angels and Teaneck this week. |

IHA (14-4) --
The Blue Eagles, seeded seventh in the Bergen County Tournament, advanced to the quarterfinals and will meet 18th-seeded Old Tappan by virtue of their methodical 39-34 win over 10th-seeded Mahwah as Katie Jones led with 10 points. On Tuesday they easily beat DePaul, 65-33, as Katie Jones scored 20. Tuesday against Northern Highlands. |

EASTSIDE (10-5) --The Ghosts played at Life Center on Friday night and lost 44-33. They posted two easy wins prior as they beat Passaic Tech, 43-24, and Clifton, 48-29, as Jabarria Brown led with 9 points. Big rematch on Tuesday with Kennedy on the road and Passaic Thursday. |

The fifth-seeded Cardinals advanced to the Bergen County quarterfinals as they beat Ridgewood ,41-33, behind Rachel Bussanich’s 14 points and will meet No. 4 Queen of Peace. They beat Dwight Morrow, 50-37m but lost their first game of the year to Mahwah 47-36 last Tuesday night. Emerson on Monday and Ramsey on Thursday. |

MARIST (14-0) -- The Royal Knights remain perfect after two easy wins but will be tested by Bayonne on the road on Thursday night. They beat Snyder, 81-17, as Emily Rosario had 22 points and then beat up on St. Anthony, 83-41, as three girls scored 20-plus led by Breyanna Frazier's 28. Dickinson on Tuesday before the crosstown rivaly game against Bayonne on Thursday. |

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS (12-7) --
The eighth-seeded Highlanders lost to Indian Hills in the Bergen County Tournament, however they stay on the No. 9 line as they played that game without their starting point guard and led late until Sarah Minchin fouled out in the 51-46 loss. Before this game, easy wins over Paramus 50-38 and Hackensack 60-40 as Breanne Davis led with 13 points. IHA on Tuesday and will get Indian Hills again at home on February 7. |

RAMAPO (10-5) --The Raiders, seeded-11th in the Bergen County Tournament advanced to the quarterfinals will meet Saddle River Day after suffocating Holy Angels, 47-25, and holding them to 10 points over the final three quarters. Emily Calabrese erupted for 25 points and 16 rebounds and recorded her 1,000th-career point. The Raiders, with 5 straight wins, beat Paramus Catholic, 49-34, last Tuesday, as Calabrese led with 23 points and, on Thursday, got a big 3 from Olivia Kraebel with 2 minutes let to rally the Raiders from down 8 in the fourth quarter to the 44-41 win over Ridgewood on the road. KENNEDY (12-4) -- The Knights, looking ahead to Tuesday’s rematch with Eastside, posted two easy victories this past week. They beat Clifton, 44-42 as Latice Cunningham poured in 19 points and then topped Passaic, 50-19, as O’Lesheya Braxton led with 16 points. Saddle River Day on the February 14 at home. |

HOLY ANGELS (12-3) --
The Angels lost to Ramapo in the Bergen County Tournament, 47-25, on Saturday as they struggled to score without Elizabeth Garcia, who is out with a knee injury. Until the seriousness of Garcia's injury is determined, it is hard to know where to rank them. If Garcia returns in short order, we move them higher. They are at Pascack Valley on Tuesday and Paramus on Thursday. IHA game is February 7. |

NV/OLD TAPPAN (8-10) -- The 18th-seeded Golden Knights pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the history of the Bergen County Tournament when they stung No. 2 Pascack Valley, 43-41, to advance to play IHA in the quarterfinals. One of the best up and coming players in the county that nobody knows about, Noelle Gonzalez, led with 12 points. The Knights lost to PV two days earlier, 48-15, in a meaningless game. Another reason this is so stunning is the Knights did this on PV’s home court and led for 90-percent of the entire game. Beat Bergenfield 55-27 on Tuesday and gets Ridgewood on Tuesday on the road. |

15. NEW MILFORD (11-4) --
The Knights gave fourth-ranked Queen of Peace everything it could handle in the Bergen County Tournament as they lost 54-45 but were within seven points heading to the fourth quarter. Prior to that game, they had run off six straight wins including a very good win at Indian Hills where they led the whole way winning, 61-51, as Natalie Miller went for 17 points. They followed that up with a 63-49 win over Dumont and led 35-11 at halftime as both Bionca Chambers and Miller scored 18. Big test comes February 9 at Secaucus, Tuesday Bergen Charter. |

INDIAN HILLS (13-4) --
The Braves, seeded ninth in the Bergen County Tournament, won an emotional game against league opponent No. Highlands 51-46 after trailing much of the second half and will advance to play Immaculate Conception on Saturday at Fair Lawn HS. Aileen Carey had a huge game as she led with 14 points and 10 rebounds. On Tuesday they lost to New Milford, 61-51, and on Thursday they beat Paramus, 58-38. The Braves now move into the difficult part of their schedule starting at Paramus Catholic on Tuesday and Ridgewood home on Thursday. |

The Highwaywomen ran into, arguably, the best team in Bergen County and one of the Top 5 teams in the state in Immaculate Conception an lost, 59-37, in the Bergen County Tournament. On Thursday they upset Holy Angels on their home court, 53-45, as Cedeja James had 20 points to lead the way. This week at Demarest Tuesday and at Pascack Valley on Thursday. |

The10th-seeded Thunderbirds lost to No. 7 IHA, 39-34, on Saturday in the Bergen County Tournament and trailed 15-7 at the half. They pulled off a major upset on Tuesday when they knocked off previously unbeaten Westwood, 47-36, as Brenna Forgette led with 14 points. On Thursday they beat Pascack Hills, 57-50, as both Kayla Devine and Sam Haubner finished with 15 points. At Ridgefield Park on Tuesday and at River Dell on Thursday. |

Big test for both the Bayonne schools as Bayonne hosts Marist on Thursday. |

The Maroons, seeded 12th in the Bergen County Tournament, led fifth-seeded Westwood at the half, 19-18, but fell 41-33 as their offense went dry. On Thursday the Maroons lost to Ramapo, 44-41, as they were outscored 12-2 in the fourth quarter. Old Tappan Tuesday and at Indian Hills on Thursday. |
