IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (3-0) --
The Blue Wolves exacted some revenge in beating Saddle River Day at Ramapo College on Thursday, 53-45, after losing to the Rebels in the Bergen County Final last year. IC took control of the game in the 3rd quarter with a 15-4 run to open a 39-30 lead, Breanne Bellerand controlled the boards throughout and led her team with 8 points and 14 rebounds. The Wolves opened the season by beating a 6-0 Curtis (NY) team, 68-35, as Bellerand’s 17 points led the way. That was followed up with an 84-36 beating of Northern Highlands. Queen of Peace on Monday at Kennedy High School. |

QUEEN OF PEACE (1-0) --
Opened the season with a 63-25 win over Holmdel, but drop a spot due to the season ending knee injury to star PG Asonah Alexander. Monday they meet Immaculate Conception at Kennedy HS at 3:30pm and Newark Tech on Wednesday at 5:15pm in what should be a good game. Staten Island Academy on Friday at 3:30pm |

SADDLE RIVER DAY (2-2) --
Lost to IC on Thursday, 53-45, despite Michele Sidor’s 24 points and holding a 22-12 lead in the second quarter. The Rebels had two convincing wins over Old Tappan and Cresskill as Sidor led her team in both games with 27 and 29. The Rebels were humbled on opening night in a loss to Rumson-Fair Haven, the #10 team in the state, 86-62, after trailing by as many as 41 points. They are adjusting to four new starters. Lincoln next week. |

PASCACK VALLEY (4-0) --
The Indiansopened the season with four convincing wins, the latest a 66-23 victory over Demarest as Briana Smith, Kelly Smith and Briana Wong each had 14. Opened by beating Teaneck, 70-44, Fair Lawn, 73-33, as Briana Smith led the scoring in both games with 18 and 20 points. Defeated Old Tappan, 70-46, as Kelly Smith had 19 points and 17 rebounds. Open play in the Joe Poli Tournament on Monday against Glen Rock. |

RAMAPO (3-0) --The Raiders have opened the season playing great defense in winning three games in convincing fashion. Started with a 38-25 win over Ridgewood as Emily Calabrese had 16 points. That was followed up with a 51-31 victory at Hackensack as Calabrese had 15 points and 18 rebounds, and easily beat Paramus, 64-11. Could see High Point on Thursday afternoonIn in the Westwood tourney. |

IHA (3-1) --
The Blue Eagles move up six spots as their young team is off to a solid start. They beat Passaic Tech, 50-23, behind Emma Matesic’s 12 points. On opening night they beat Paramus Catholic in overtime, 44-41, as Matesic led with 12 points. Suffered a close loss to St. Francis (NY), 50-47, in overtime, but rebounded with a 55-39 win over Kennedy as sophomore Eliyah Herriott led with 11 points. Will play Old Tappan on Monday at The Poli. |

HOLY ANGELS (2-0) --
The Angels have opened with two wins in a row starting with an easy 44-19 victory over DePaul as Elisabeth Garcia had 18 points. That was followed by an impressive win over Eastside, 38-23, as they broke open a close game by outscoring the Ghosts 13-0 in the third quarter, Elena Pulanco led with 14 points. Looking forward to Dec. 28 when Holy Angels will most likely meet Pascack Valley in the Joe Poli semifinals |

PARAMUS CATHOLIC (1-1) --
The Paladins defeated Passaic Valley, 63-27, behind Sarah Scerbak’s 26 points, bouncing back from an opening night loss at IHA, 44-41, in overtime despite Scerbak's 18. They will meet Ridgewood in the Westwood Tournament on Tuesday afternoon |

WESTWOOD (2-0) --
The Cardinals fell behind River Dell by 6 points early, but rallied to post a 54-41 win behind Sam McClutchy’s 19 points. They opened the season with an easy 51-33 win over Mahwah as McClutchy led with 19 and set the all- time scoring mark at the school. They will see Midland Park in their tournament on Tuesday and, with a win, get the Paramus Catholic/Ridgewood winner in the next round. |

SECAUCUS (2-0) --
John sterling’s club, with no seniors on the roster, opened the season with three solid wins starting with a 56-48 victory over Demarest as both Amanda Ulrich and Lindsey Mack each had 13 points. Easy wins over Emerson and Ridgefield followed. In the Ridgefield game Demaris Rodriguez finished with 22 points. The Patriots will meet Northern Highlands at 1 p.m. in The Poli Tournament on Monday |

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS (3-1) --
The Highlanders got a great performance from Sarah Minchin (17 points) as she drilled a 15-footer with 50 seconds left in the game to regain a 52-51 advantage over Indian Hills and the Highlanders held on for a 55-51 win on the road. They opened the season with a 49-32 win over Hackensack, then lost to Immaculate Conception, 84-36, on Sunday. Defeated Paramus, 52-27, on Tuesday as Madison Grossman had 15 points. Secaucus looms on Monday afternoon. |

NEW MILFORD (2-0) --
The Knights had no problem in beating Bergen Charter, 59-10, on Thursday night behind Natalie Miller’s 15 points. They opened the season with a 65-24 win over Bergen Tech, leading 23-2 after first quarter, and were led by Bionca Chambers, who had 17 points. Could see Pascack Hills on Wednesday in Holiday Tournament play. |

LINCOLN (2-1) --
The Lions opened the season with a 38-31 loss to
Bayonne, but rebounded with a 43-8 win over Memorial and then beat Hudson Catholic, 39-28, as Daniya Darby hit for 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Lions are trying to break in four new starters. Destiny Shuler added 11 points and 10 rebounds. SRD next week. |

RIDGEWOOD (2-2) --
The Maroons have rebounded from losing their first two games of the season by winning their last two. Used solid defense to beat Hackensack on Thursday night, 40-29, behind Annie McCarthy’s 13 points. On Tuesday night they knocked off Indian Hills at home, 46-33, as Clare Smesko hit for 14 points. The two early losses were to Ramapo, 38-25, and then to High Point, 34-29, but that was a 3-point game in final minute. They meet Paramus Catholic Tuesday at the Westwood tourney |

KENNEDY (3-1) -- The Knights fall from the No. 5 spot as it is learned that Tajae Stevenson is out for the year due to a knee injury, which drastically changes this team. They opened with wins over Passaic Tech, 57-34, as Latice Cunningham led with 18 points and they held off Rahway, 57-56, as Cunningham dropped in 19. They then lost to IHA, 55-39, after being close through three quarters. Beat Clifton, 62-37, as Jayla McDuffie led with 14 points. Teaneck Monday at home |

EASTSIDE (1-1) -- The Ghosts drop eight sports as they really struggled to score on Holy Angels in losing 38-23, and actually were blanked in the third quarter 13-0. They opened their season with a 50-25 win over Bergen Tech as Andrea Aquino had 10 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocks. Then, on Thursday night, they cruised past Passaic, 59-17, as Aquino had 26. |

The Highwaywomen have gotten things going after an opening night loss to Pascack Valley. They beat Demarest, 52-39, behind Cedeja James' 30 points and then beat Bergenfield, 63-24, as James had 19. Kennedy in Paterson on Monday and Wednesday against North Bergen. |

The Golden Knights are trying to figure it out after losing all five starters to graduation. They opened the season with a 56-20 win over Bergenfield as the one player that saw varsity action last year, Sophie Downey, had 15 points. They struggled with Saddlle River Day's pressure in losing 82 -32, but bounced back with a 49-34 win over Tenafly as Downey had 15. IHA in The Poli Tourney on Monday. |

The Bees were upset by North Bergen. 31-22, on Thursday night, scoring only 12 points in the final three quarters. They opened the season with a 38-31 win over rival Lincoln using a 14-8 fouth quarter to pull away as Niaoimi Marshall led with 19 points. Then easily beat McNair, 53-14, as Adriana Blake had 12 points |

The Cowgirls are off to a good start as they opened the season by beating River Dell at home, 52-34, using a 15-6 third quarter spurt, and led by Erin Hedrick’s 16 points. That was followed by 47-36 win over Ramsey as Caitlin Ernest had 21 points. Next Wednesday, a potentially very good game against New Milford in the championship game of the New Milford Tournament |
