The Blue Wolves pick up three wins with the highlight being Saturday night’s 51-48 beating of Potter House (FL) in the New Year’s Resolution in Paterson. They started the week with a 73-25 trouncing of St. Mary’s (Elizabeth) as Bre Bellerand had 17 points and finished the week with an easy 66-35 win over Newark Arts as Bellerand was named MVP. Blair on Wednesday night. |

SADDLE RIVER DAY (8-2) --
The Rebels also picked up three easy wins with their highlight being a 65-48 win over Nazareth (NY) as Michelle Sidor picked up her 1,000th point less than one month into her sophomore season. To start the week they played without Sidor and the Rebels still came away with a 65-42 win over Northern Highlands as Jenna Jordan had 15 points and 15 rebounds. They finished the week with an easy win over Bayonne, 63-42, but led 56-22 after three quarters as Sidor won MVP honors in the Ray Long Classic at Felician College. |

The Indians breezed through two games by beating Bergenfield, 58-23, as Kelly Smith led with 9 points, then a dispatch of Ridgefield Park, 45-33, as Kelly Smith had 13. At Ridgewood on Tuesday. |

WESTWOOD (8-0) --
The Cardinals picked up three wins last week, but struggled mightily with Ramsey as they trailed by 18 points before coming back to win 46-45. They then beat Pascack Hills, 51-33, and knocked off Ridgefield Park, 41-25, behind Rachel Bussanich who had 13 points. Next Sunday they play IHA. |

HOLY ANGELS (7-1) --
Rocketing up the ranks because the Angels beat Eastside by 15 two weeks ago coupled with the three wins this past week. Their only loss this year is to River Dell and their most recent wins were a 48-46 nail-biter over Paramus Catholic as they needed to rally from 42-36 down in the fourth quarter. Elena Pulanco finished with 21 points. Beat Wayne Valley 37-30 and a down West Milford team, 42-18, as they led 31-4 at half and Caroline Staff had 11 points. At Wayne Hills Tuesday and IHA in a big game at home Friday night. |

EASTSIDE (5-2) -- The Ghosts vault up to No. 7 based on their 44-39 win over sister school Kennedy as 6-foot-9 Andrea Aquino had 19 points. This game was tight through three quarters until Aquino had 7 points in the final quarter to pull away. Earlier in the week they beat Passaic Tech, 47-30, in a game they led 28-11 at half. IHA (7-3) --
The Blue Eagles picked up a real good win by beating Bishop Loughlin (NY), 42-38, in overtime in the New Year’s Resolution in Paterson on Sunday. They also picked up two wins earlier in the week by beating DePaul, 43-25, as freshman PG Brittany Graff had 10 points and then beat Clifton 45-26 as freshman Elijah Herriott had 11 points. Home to Holy Angels on Friday night. |

KENNEDY (7-2) -- The Lady Knights dropped a 44-39 decision to Eastside as the game was tight through three quarters, but slipped away in the fourth. Latice Cunningham had a big game with 17 points. Earlier in the week they beat Passaic 54-7. |

MARIST (8-0) --
The Royal Knights have opened the season with eight decisive wins, starting with a 71-22 victory over University Charter as Breyanna Frazier had 21 points. That was followed by a 68-28 win over Union City and was 48-11 at the break. Frazier again led with 18 points. Hudson Catholic next Friday night and a good one coming up against Lincoln on January 19. |

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS (6-4) --
The Highlanders struggled during the week and almost lost all three games, but avoided the Oh-fer with a 33-32 win over Ridgewood as Sarah Minchin led with 11 points. They dropped a game to Saddle River Day, which was without Michele Sidor, 65-42, and then struggled on Sunday in a 42-29 loss to Morris Catholic. This week Teaneck and at Ramapo on Friday. |

The Patriots won three easy games, beating Leonia 58-17 as Lindsey Mack had 25 points, then beat Harrison 70-36 as Amanda Ulrich had 26 points and finally Bogota, 59-20. New Milford on Tuesday should be a good game. |

The Paladins lost a tough game to Holy Angels, 48-46, after leading for most of the game before giving it up in the final quarter. The Paladins then knocked off Lakeland on Friday night, 51-44, as Sarah Scerbak led the way with 17 and finally they were out manned by a good Grand Street Campus (NY), 56-31. At Tenafly Tuesday. |

The Maroons split two nail-biting one-point games. First they missed a basket at the end of the game against Northern Highlands in losing 33-32, but then bounced back at West Morris on Saturday, winning 42-41 as Clare Smesko had 11 points. To start the week they beat Marion Thomas Charter 59-8. Tuesday home to Pascack Valley. |

The Braves used a 21-10 fourth quarter rally to get past Ramapo, 47-40, and giving them their first win over their sister school in the last 25 years. Angela Saric led with 21 points. They followed that up by beating Wayne Hills, 46-36, behind Savannah Abouyan, who had 16. Earlier they beat Lakeland 58-42. At Emerson on Monday and Fair Lawn home on Thursday. |
