OLD TAPPAN -- This week's NorthJerseySports.com Athlete of the Week (for the week ending November 20) is NV/Old Tappan senior Maya Illovsky.
With so much lost to graduation, there was no way that Northern Valley/Old Tappan could possibly get back to the top of the heap girls volleyball this season. The Knights went undefeated and won everything, including the Tournament of Champions title last year, but a repeat? Well, it happened as NV/OT beat IHA in the T of C final for the second straight year and Illovsky was a big part of it with 14 kills and 22 digs to finish off a brilliant career.
