OLD TAPPAN-- This week's NorthJerseySports.com Athlete of the Week (for the week ending March 13) is Northern Valley/Old Tappan High School's Emily Crevani.
Crevani scored 16 points in Old Tappan's 45-33 win over Ramapo to repeat as North 1, Group 3 champs. She had nine of her 13 points in the second half of the Group 3 semifinals to help hold off Voorhees 56-53. Then Crevani dropped a game-high 20 points to lead the Knights to a 47-36 victory over Middletown South in the Group 3 final. The win gave Old Tappan its first Group 3 title in school history and a trip to the Tournament of Champions. It also provided a measure of revenge as Middletown South ended the Knights' season in the same game last year.
