Society Men first opened its doors in March of 2006 in Westwood by Bergen County native Mary Alice Farella. Farella's 21 years of experience in the fashion industry helped her come up with the concept of Society Men and is what makes it stand out from other specialty stores.

One of the things Farella was particularly concious of is offering more private, individualized attention for her clients, the kind of attention not found in department stores. In addition to the many cutting edge designers, Farella caters to athletes and "hard to fit" sizes.

The stores atmosphere brings New York City's hot Meat Packing District to suburbia. Meat hooks and steel cutting tables are not normal accessories for clothing boutiques, but Farella combines the look and feel of her husband's business with her style to create a shopping experience that is a "cut above" the rest.
