Everybody loves rankings, so we jump back in the game with our very won Richie Ballgame keeping track of all things soccer. A Top 10 is just plain old lazy, so we stack up the Top 12 teams in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties.

1. DEPAUL -- Sophomore Madison Krakower has made her presence felt as one of North Jersey's most scintillating strikers with eight goals to go with four assists in the Spartans' 4-0 start to the season.

2. NORTHERN VALLEY/DEMAREST – Carly Sherman and Emily Holzer have combined for 16 goals already as the Norsewomen have also started the season with four straight wins.

3. WAYNE HILLS -- Sophia Bradley has scored in both the Patriots' wins this season. That includes the lone goal in a 1-0 triumph over crosstown rival Wayne Valley.

4. RAMAPO -- The Green Raiders were on the wrong end of a stunning overtime upset at the hands of Paramus. They will have to put that loss behind them quickly in a big week, where they will face both Ridgewood and Northern Highlands.

5. NORTHERN HIGHLANDS -- After a season-opening loss in overtime against arch nemesis Ramapo, the Highlanders have responded well. Three straight wins, including one over Ridgewood, have this team back on track.

6. LYNDHURST -- The Golden Bears are poised for a big season with an interesting mix of seniors with four years of varsity experience along with freshmen who are making an immediate impact. Northeastern-bound center mid Kaydee Yallo is one of the premier players in Bergen County. Freshman Julia Anthony currently leads the team with three goals.

7. PASCACK VALLEY -- The Indians followed up a four-goal performance by senior Sydney Ben-Yishay with a win in double overtime over Northern Valley/Old Tappan. A duel with Northern Valley/Demarest for first place in the Big North-National Division is on tap for Tuesday night in Hillsdale.

8. RIDGEWOOD -- Dartmouth-bound Ashley Blaka is a nightmare to mark in the middle of the park for the Maroons. The steady senior always plays under control and gives them a top-flight threat to score or set up a bevy of talented teammates. They will get a shot at defending North 1. 9. WAYNE VALLEY -- After a season-opening defeat to Wayne Hills, the Indians have struck back with a relentless attack led by Ava Whisten and Kelsey Ramos. Whisten leads the team with four assists and Ramos has scored in each of her last three games as Wayne Valley improved to 3-1 on the season, capped by an impressive 5-1 win over Lakeland

10. IHA -- Despite the loss to top-ranked DePaul, the present the future look bright for IHA. Allie Zitelli is one of the most underrated players in Bergen County. The senior knows how to find the back of the net and has done so in all four games this season. Freshman Alexandra Barry has provided a nice complement up top, including her first career hat trick in a win over Paramus Catholic on Saturday

11. PARK RIDGE -- Despite tons of youth on the pitch, the Lady Owls have been dominant. Athletes like Ella Madden (a team-high eight goals) and Kerry Perez (five goals, seven assists) pave a Park Ridge offense that has outscored the opposition 20-1 so far. The first true tests come this week from Waldwick on Tuesday and Emerson on Thursday.

12. FORT LEE – After missing all of last season with a torn ACL, star striker Gabriella Garita has picked up right where she left off after her stellar freshman and sophomore campaigns in which she scored 68 goals. She already has five goals this season to help the Bridgewomen off to a 3-0 start. Fort Lee will finally be tested on Tuesday when they travel to face fellow unbeaten Mahwah.
