Big win over Neumann Goretti of PA 44-36 in the consolation round of the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers FL. Tyheem Burno had 11 points and 4 steals to lead the way. They finished 3-1 in the tournament with their lone loss being to Patrick School the # 1 team in the state 65-53. In that game they led 31-27 at halftime but were outscored 23-7 in the 3rd quarter. Beat Maret of DC 65-51 behind Luther Muhammed’s 24 points. Morristown Beard on Tuesday. |

ST. ANTHONY (3-0) --The Friars are off to a flying start as they have won three straight in convincing fashion. On Friday they beat Trenton, 56-34, as Alexander Rice led the team with 17 points. On opening night they beat Prestige Prep, 66-38, and then St. Joseph Regional, 54-36, behind RJ Cole’s 24 points. Will play in Skyline Classic: Wednesday vs. Brighton (MA) and then Atlantic City on Friday. |

BERGEN CATHOLIC (3-1) --
The Crusaders are the team to beat in Bergen County as they flexed their muscle, literally, by dominating the paint in beating St. Joseph Regional 77-45 after leading 33-15 at the half, Taj Benning had 19 points and Gab Stefanini played outstanding defense against Chauncey Hawkins. The lone loss was to St. Benedicts. They opened the season with a 95-61 win over DePaul and then squeaked past Eastside, 64-61, on Tuesday night in overtime. Tuesday vs. Girard (PA), Wednesday against Salesianum (DE). New Year’s Day should be a good one against IC Montclair. |

DON BOSCO PREP (4-0) --
The Ironmen are also off to a great start as they gained a marquee win over Gil St. Bernard, the No. 10 team in the state, 64-56, as Marcellus Earlington dominated down low scoring 18 and Ronald Harper adding 16. Bosco opened their season by beating Paramus Catholic, 72-29, then had an easy win over Kennedy, 70-54 after leading 40-23 at the half, Chris Paul led a balanced attack with 13 points. Lastly, on Thursday Bosco beat Passaic Tech, 61-40, after opening a 34-15 lead at the half. |

TEANECK (3-1) -- The Highwaymen are playing without Leondre Washington, who is sitting 30 days, and Jawuan Daniels, whose status is unclear. Their big game was against Newark Eastside, the No. 6 in the state, a 48-38 loss. They opened the season by beating Pascack Valley handily, 76-56, as Ja’Quaye James had 31 points. ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (2-2) --The Green Knights were beaten by Bergen Catholic, 77-45, and lost to St. Anthony 54-36, two of the top teams in the state. They opened the season with a 77-45 win over Queen of Peace as Chauncey Hawkins had 14 points and also beat Paramus Catholic, 59-34, as Joseph Radl led with 16 points. In The Skyline Classic and play St. Laurent (CANADA) on Wednesday at 4:30 and Saunders (NY) on Friday. |

EASTSIDE (3-1) --
The Ghosts lone loss may have been their best game, taking Bergen Catholic to overtime before losing 64-61 at home. They led by 7 entering the fourth but could not hold on. They beat Bergen Tech on opening night, 59-40, and followed that up with a 59-53 win over Brooklyn Tech. Also beat Passaic, 60-18. Lamar Johnson has come up big in the early part of the season. NV/OLD TAPPAN (3-0) --
The Golden Knights have played really well to start the season. They opened with a convincing 66-38 win over Bergenfield and led 34-17 at the half as Justin Minaya ended with 17. They then handled Pascack Valley, 71-46, as Minaya led with 28 once again. On Thursday they shut down Tenafly 45-27. Will be at the Jack Reilly Tournament at Fort Lee and get Paramus Catholic on Monday and winner of Snyder/Tenafly on Wednesday. |

ST. PETER'S PREP (2-0) --
The Marauders have opened with two nice wins, starting with a 60-40 victory in Randolph as Brendan Thiele led with 19 points. They then beat Marist, 64-58, as they trailed 35-21 at half before a 26-3 third quarter turned everything around. They had four players in double figures led by Thiele’s 13 points. At Kennedy on Monday. |

PASCACK HILLS (3-0) --
The Cowboys have opened with three convincing wins with the latest coming on Thursday night as they played without star Nick Guillermain and still beat Ramsey, 56-39, behind Jason Shill’s 22 points. Opening night they beat River Dell 68-54 as Guillermain led the way in scoring, followed by a win over Westwood, 65-38. Tuesday they get Cresskill. |

The Bulldogs have started with four easy wins. They beat Ridgefield, 78-37, on 0pening nightbehind Jordan McCoy and Tyson Etienne’s 15 points each. They then led Cresskill 33-24 at half and went on to a 66-49 win behind Etienne’s 25 points. Easily beat Leonia, 61-29, and Harrison, 73-51, as again Etienne led with 26. Bogota on Tuesday |

WAYNE HILLS (3-0) --
The Patriots appear ready to have another great year as they might very well have the top point guard in Passaic County in Joey Belli. He shut down Wayne Valley’s top scorer in the second half en route to a 72-56 win after trailing at the half, 33-30. The Patriots opened the season by beating West Milford, 90-49, as Belli had 23 points, and then ran past Passaic Valley55-40. They will be in the Ramapo Christmas tourney and could meet Ramapo in Championship game. |

SNYDER (2-0) -- The Tigers are young and talented and are off to a flying start as they downed Newark Tech, 73-49, behind Isiah Small’s game-high 34 points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night. Also chipping in was freshman Corey Manning-Floyd, who scored 17 points. They opened with a 57-40 win over Union City as it was 29-15 at the half. Will get St Peter's Prep on January 3. Tenafly on Monday at Jack Reilly in Fort Lee and then Old Tappan most likely on Wednesday. |

HACKENSACK (2-2) --
The Comets were stunned on opening night in overtime at home by Northern Highlands, 73-69, and then fell to a very good St. Mary’s of Elizabeth team, 61-40. Went on the road without their best player, Atiba Taylor, Jr. and beat Ramapo in the final seconds, 56-55. They led much of the game but fell behind late before taking the lead with 10 seconds left. Easily beat Ridgewood, 57-42, behind BJ Saliba’s 21. The Comets will get a test on Monday when they meet Gil St. Bernard. |

The Green Raiders opened by beating Ridgewood on the road, 55-51, behind KC Hunt’s 17 points, then had an easy time in a 70-51 win over West Milford at Ramapo College. Lost a heartbreaker to Hackensack on Tuesday as they had a 9-0 run late to take the lead, 55-54, with a minute left, only to lose on a basket with 10 seconds to play. Beat Paramus, 42-24,. Could see Wayne Hills in their Christmas tournament. |

KENNEDY (2-1) --
The Knights opened their season with a 62-56 win over Passaic Tech in overtime as Jaylon Colon led with 20 points. They then lost handily at home to Don Bosco Prep, 70-54, and were down by 24 points after three quarters. On Thursday they knocked off Clifton, 57-51, but needed a 20-8 fourth quarter to rally for the win as Colon finished with 26 points. St Peters Prep on Monday |

The Bruins have opened the season with four straight wins, the big one against Hoboken on Tuesday, 65-61, as Abdallah Saleh led with 14 points. They opened the season beating Kearny, 71-57, as Kayton Darley clicked for 24 including four 3-pointers. Beat Ferris, 72-43, and on Thursday beat Bayonne 66-52, up 34-18 at half, as Saleh had 19 points. Hudson Catholic looms on January 3. |

Three relatively easy wins to open the season starting with Becton on opening night, 55-36, as Marc Dadika had 21 points and 15 rebounds. Knocked off Paterson Charter, 48-40, as they led 40-29 after three quarters. On Thursday night they beat Saddle Brook, 71-39, as Dadika hit for 30 points. |

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS (3-0) -- The Highlanders are off to a fast start and it started with a win on opening night at Hackensack, 73-69. They followed that up with a 55-41 win over Bergenfield at Ramapo College on Sunday, using a 16-5 third quarter to open it up. On Tuesday they slipped past Paramus, 50-49, before easily beating Indian Hills, 68-29, as Ryan Star finished with 18 points. They will meet Pascack Valley on Tuesday |
