ST. ANTHONY (9-1) -- The Friars had their 41-game win streak snapped at the hands of the No. 1 ranked team in the state, The Patrick School, 51-47 at the Dan Finn Classic in the Jersey City Armory. It was the first time Bob Hurley’s squad has lost to TPS since 2007. RJ Cole kept the Friars close with 19 points. On Tuesday the Friars won a close game against No. 11 Ranney, 51-48, as Alexander Rice hit a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left to provide the margin of victory. |

HUDSON CATHOLIC (11-2) --
The Hawks, currently No. 6 in the state rankings, beat St. Anthony (TX), 62-53, as Luther Muhammed and Jahvon Quinerly both had 24 points in the win in the Hoop Hall Classic in Springfield Mass. On Tuesday they beat Bayonne, 59-42, and on Thursday they knocked off Marist, 55-38, as Louis King had 23 points. They play at St. Mary’s (Elizabeth) on Friday night.. |

BERGEN CATHOLIC (11-1) --
The Crusaders, the No. 7 team in the state, traveled to No. 12 Don Bosco and came away with an emotional 67-62 victory as Taj Benning led his team with 17 points. Crusaders led 36-31 at half. On Tuesday they beat Queen of Peace, 98-56, and, after the Bosco win, sluggishly beat Wayne Hills using a 21-10 fourth quarter to pull away for a 69-55 victory. Travel to Old Tappan on Thursday |

The Ironmen lost at home to Bergen Catholic, 67-62, in the first of potentially four meetings this season. Marcellus Earlington kept his team close as he had 23 points in the loss. On Tuesday they beat Passaic, 56-35, behind Earlington’s 15 points. Travel to Ridgewood on Thursday |

ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (9-3) --The Green Knights knocked off Wayne Hills at home, 70-45, using a 40-19 advantage in the second half to pull away for the win as Chauncey Hawkins had 20 points. On Friday they had another easy win in beating West Milford, 76-43, as Joseph Radl finished with 15. Beat Thurgood Marshall Academy (NY), 78-53, on Sunday as Hawkins had 22 points. The Golden Knights might have been looking past a young Ramapo team as they suffered their first loss of the season last Tuesday in falling 51-41. However, they redeemed themselves as they knocked off Teaneck, 56-52, on Friday night as Justin Minaya led the way with 22 points and Kevin Effert had 21. Home to Northern Highlands Tuesday, a big game against Bergen Catholic at home Thursday and Pascack Hills on Saturday. |

TEANECK (7-4) -- The Highwaymen dropped the much anticipated game with Old Tappan on their home court, 56-52, as a 16-5 Old Tappan advantage in the third quarter proved to be the difference. On Tuesday they hammered Northern Highlands, 70-44, behind Ja’Quaye James' 43 points and using a 23-7 first quarter to send them off to the easy win. Leondre Washington, after sitting 30 days, finally returns on Monday. |

The Ghosts picked up three wins this pas week with their biggest coming against Kennedy, 52-47, as Ta’wan Grier had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Knocked off Clifton, 67-39, and then on Saturday beat Allentown 44-34 as Greer led with 9. Princeton Hall (NC) on Monday and St. Joseph Regional on Saturday at home. |

WAYNE HILLS (8-2) --
The Patriots knew they were in for a tough week with St. Joseph Regional on Tuesday and Bergen Catholic on Saturday, and they should feel pretty good as they played with both for large parts of both games. Had a great effort vs. BC as they only trailed by 3 heading to the fourth quarter before losing 69-55. On Tuesday night they got beat up at SJR, losing 70-45, but it was 30-26 at the break before it got away in the second half. In between they beat Clifton, 67-57, and led 36-16 at half. Joey Belli had 23 points. Big game at home on Tuesday aganist Kennedy. |

Tamar Johnson led the Knights with 10 points. On Saturday they used a 23-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to slip past Dwight-Englewood, 64-62, and handing them their first loss of the season. The Comets ran off three wins this past week starting with a 68-55 win over Bergenfield as the Comets built a 42-25 halftime lead and were led in scoring by Bryce Drakeford's 16 points. The Comets then upended Indian Hills, 52-42, as Drakeford again led with 12 points and, finally, beat Nazareth (NY) on Sunday, 61-52. Barringer on Monday |

The Raiders pulled off a tremendous upset on Tuesday night on their home court as they handed Old Tappan its first loss of the season, 51-41, as Jason Oppler scored 18 in the win. On Friday they dispatched Northern Highlands on the road, 56-41, and on Saturday in the Finn Classic in Jersey City the Raiders lost to Brighton (MA), 58-53 |
