ST. ANTHONY (30-0) --
The Friars captured the Non Public B state title by beating Roselle Catholic, 53-37, behind a balanced performance by the entire Friar squad. Jagen Mosely had a team-high 16 points, however it was a pair of unsung seniors in Juvaris Hayes and Idris Joyner that proved to be the difference. Joyner guarded 6-foot-9, 5-star recruit Nazreon Reid from and held him to 8 points. Hayes Juvaris scored 14 points and put intense pressure on the ball to help limit RC to 29% shooting.. They claimed the Non Public B North title by beating Dwight Englewood, 64-29, and are the No. 1 seed in the T of C. |

DON BOSCO PREP (27-4) --
The Ironmen picked up their most impressive win maybe in school history as they stunned nationally ranked Seton Hall Prep, hammering the Pirates, 73-53, to capture the Non Public A North title. Brandon Anderson shot 10 of 14 in route to 27 points. The Ironmen led by 3 at half and broke the game open in the third quarter by outscoring the Pirates 17-8. Bosco reached the final by taking their third win of the season vs. St. Joseph, 69-58, in the semis as Omar Mostafa finished with 24 points. Their season ended in the Non Public A state final against St. Augustine with an 83-50 loss. |

3.
TEANECK (27-4) -- It's been quite a week for the Highwaymen, who added a Tournament of Champions win to the pile after beating West Side 71-62 in Toms River on Tuesday. Before that they captured the third state championship in school history by beatin Winslow, 59-50, breaking open a 24-21 halftime lead with a 14-9 third quarter. Sophomore Ja’Quaye James scored 22 points, including the 1,000th of his career,. Jawuan Daniels, who finished with 17 points, had 8 in the third quarter. Also had a 67-47 win over Ramapo and whacked Warren Hills, 48-36. Next up: St. Anthony in the T of C semifinals on Thursday.

4.
ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL (19-9) --The Knights, coming off their impressive win over Hudson Catholic, traveled to Don Bosco to play the Ironmen for the fourth time this season, with their only win coming in the Jambo final. The Knights trailed 18-6 after one quarter and could never recover in a 69-58 loss. Chauncey Hawkins will be one of the area's top returning seniors next season. |

BERGEN CATHOLIC (21-7) --
The Crusaders ended their season in the sectional semifinal as they fell to Seton Hall Prep, 61-40. They had late season wins over St. Joseph and Hackensack and will be return their top two scorers in Taj Benning and Gabriel Stefanini for next season. |

HACKENSACK (21-9) --
The Comets captured their second North 1, Group 4 title in the last four years as they rallied from down 14 after the first quarter to beat Morristown, 67-64. Trailing 26-20 at the half the Comets used a 16-0 run in the third to take the lead for the first time. However, they almost lost a 14-point lead of their own before executing down the stretch to hold on. Atiba Taylor Jr. led the way with 21 points and MJ Richardson added 17. The Comets' season ended in the Group 4 semifinal against Linden in a 69-56 loss. MJ Richardson finished with 22 points. The Comets shared the league title with Ramapo. |

RAMAPO (25-4) --
The Raiders finished a great season that included wins over
St. Joseph and Don Bosco Prep before falling to Group 3 State Champ Teaneck. They graduate all 5 starters. Jason Oppler and KC Hunt are the building blocks for next year. |

RAMSEY (25-4) --
After suffering a crushing loss a year ago to Manchester, the Rams trounced the Falcons, 76-38, in the North 1, Group 2 state sectional final rematch. Senior Jack Gaffney scored 32 points, including nine 3 pointers. The win set up a classic state semifinal showdown with West Side. The Rams appeared to be done as they trailed 41-35 with three minutes left, but used a 7-1 spurt to send it to overtime. The game went into three OTs and Ramsey had a four-point lead late in the last one before flatering from the foul line. |

Finished the season strong. Nearly beat Hudson Catholic in county semifinal and almost knocked off the top seed in the states. |
