JACK COGNETTA -- Born in Brooklyn and raised on grandma's lasagna. Now Jack is taking over North Jersey... just don't tell Tony Soprano. Jack knows his high school sports.

He was a two-sport athlete as the back-up on the bowling team and the "team manager" for volleyball. Jack spent the past five years in central New York covering Syracuse Orange football and basketball and Cornell Big Red hockey. Now he's glad to be in Jersey where he doesn't have to wear snow shoes or build himself an igloo.

When not on the microphone or covering a high school game, Jack enjoys eating everything and is a karaoke champion.
The person he would like to meet most in North Jersey is Don Bosco's public address announcer for football that sounds exactly like the legendary Bob Sheppard from Yankee Stadium.

If you have a story idea, a comment, or just want tell him how awesome he is, send him an e-mail.

CARL NASMAN -- Carl might be a California kid, but that doesn't mean he can't talk Jersey sports with the best of them. A Bay Area native, and a UC Santa Cruz graduate, Carl is in his third season covering Bergen County high school sports and is only now starting to catch himself talking in a Jersey accent.

Carl has done it all, from UCSC radio (fight on Banana Slugs) to ESPN's Quite Frankly, but prep sports are his passion. An ex-water polo player and current weekend warrior, Carl would love to challenge Cory Doviak to some pick-up hoops, and would even welcome a contest against Rich Barton.

When not covering a high school game or surfing NorthJerseySports.com, Carl is in New York City, trying to find his San Francisco Giants or 49ers on TV.
